Man who went missing after riding dirt bike in Westmoreland County found safe

MT PLEASANT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The man who want mising after riding his dirt bike in Westmoreland County has been found safe, state police said Thursday afternoon.

State police spent the day actively searching for Danny Ray Churning, 49, who left his home on Fry Hollow Road in Hempfield Township between 8 and 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Police were searching a wooded area in Mt. Pleasant Township Thursday morning.

Churning was found safe later in the day.
