He allegedly sold these stolen items, which included expensive cameras, for several months under different eBay accounts for a personal profit of about $8,000.
According to police, Heaney did this over the course of several months “to feed his family.”
The company noticed the missing items, which included things like expensive cameras, during an internal audit and alerted police.
Investigators said Heaney was “very cooperative and told (officers) exactly what he did” after turning himself in. He was arraigned Wednesday morning at the Allegheny County Jail.
Heaney faces charges including theft and receiving stolen property. Prior to these charges, Heaney has been convicted of theft and burglary.
He is awaiting his preliminary hearing.
