The search warrant created a large scene. Neighbors told Channel 11 they heard a flash bang and saw state troopers bust through the door, leading to a substantial heroin bust.
Investigators found 45 bricks, or more than 2,000 stamp bags, of suspected heroin stashed in a refrigerator, more than $2,100 in cash in an upstairs closet and two cell phones, according to the criminal complaint.
Police found Rodgers in the living room of the home.
Channel 11 learned Rodgers has a number of drug and gun cases from Allegheny and Westmoreland counties in the last several years. State police said they are fortunate they were able to get the drugs before they hit the streets.
Rodgers was charged with possessing drugs and is accused of dealing heroin from the home. He remains in the Westmoreland County jail after being denied bail.
