ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — School officials will be searching student backpacks and personal items Friday, and Robinson Township police will be on hand at Carlynton Junior-Senior High School, after a shooting threat was found.
Administrators were alerted to a potential threat found on a bathroom wall, according to district communication.
“The specific nature of the threat involved a drawing of a gun, a list of first names of five students, and the whole school. The date of October 1 was also written on the wall,” the notice read.
As a result, district leaders notified the families of those students named in the threat. The police were also contacted and are still investigating to find out who is behind it.
School is still taking place Friday with some notable changes, including:
- Robinson Township police will be at the JSHS for the entire day Friday and will have an increased presence in the next few weeks
- School officials will search students upon entrance to the building Friday
- There may be delays in students entering the building due to the searches
- There may be delays in elementary pick-up times of approximately five to 10 minutes as a result
