GREENSBURG, Pa. — A bank in Greensburg was robbed Wednesday morning, and police released surveillance pictures in hopes that the public can help identify the person responsible.
The robbery happened shortly after 10 a.m. at the KeyBank on East Pittsburgh Street.
Pennsylvania State Police said the suspect ran out of the bank towards Greensburg. It’s unclear how much money was taken.
An anonymous tip was received reporting that the suspect possibly got into a red-colored Mitsubishi Outlander Sport near the Advanced Auto on East Pittsburgh Street. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored vest atop the sweatshirt, a red face covering with a grey winter hat, dark blue jeans (ripped style), and black shoes with white trim at the soles.
“It was very startling seeing the cops over at the bank and everything but we were okay. My automatic response is, why is the door not locked? Because we leave the door locked,” said Sally Malik.
Malik had just gotten home as troopers searched by air and by ground for the suspect.
