Popular Bloomfield music club will close and relocate this summer

PITTSBURGH — A popular music club in Bloomfield is closing and moving to another Pittsburgh neighborhood.

Howlers will close this summer and relocate to East Liberty.

The owner said the landlord is forcing her hand by only offering a one-year lease.

“We’re sort of a fixture here in Bloomfield. We’ve been here for 19 years. People know who we are. It works for us,” said Howler’s owner Susan Coe.

Coe said the new location will be larger and will have an outdoor space.

Howlers is expected to close this summer.
