PITTSBURGH — A popular Pittsburgh bar, Hambone’s, is closing down for good, according to an announcement Saturday.

Hambone’s, located on Butler Street in Lawrenceville, announced on social media that it is shutting its doors after 35 years -- just a month after its owner, Jeffrey Holt, suddenly died.

In the post, Hambone’s staff said the bank decided not to continue business with his estate, and there is too much debt to stay open.

The post said the building will be sold in a sheriff’s sale.
