PPG Place ice rink extending open season

PITTSBURGH — The Rink at PPG Place will be extending its season into March to continue the celebration of its 20th Anniversary Season.

According to a news release, the rink will continue daily operation through Feb. 28. It will then be open Fridays through Sundays the first two weekends in March.

Open since 2001, the rink was expanded by 25% to increase its overall surface to 67% larger than the Rockefeller Center ice rink. One of Pittsburgh’s favorite outdoor winter attractions, the Rink at PPG Place is two-thirds the size of an NHL rink.

Admission is $11 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and younger, seniors and military members. Skate rental is $5. Discounts are available on Tuesday Family Nights: one child is admitted free with each adult admission purchase. Admission is $4 on Wednesday Student Nights with a valid student ID or report card.

Masks must be worn at all times and temperature checks are conducted before anyone is allowed in to the skate rental area.
