NOW PLAYING ABOVE

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. — You may not have to drive as far to get your hands on Prantl’s Bakery’s glorious Burnt Almond Torte.

That’s because the bakery is in the process of opening up a fourth location in Westmoreland County.

The North Huntingdon location will be at the intersection of Route 30 and Robbins Station Road.

The baked goods will be provided by the Shadyside and Greensburg locations.

“The Burnt Almond Torte. I keep saying the Burnt Almond Torte but that’s what Prantl’s is known for. It’s just an iconic store that’s been in Shadyside for over 50 years. It’s become a tradition for people to visit over the holidays and we just hope everybody keeps coming back,” said Jeff Pastor, Prantl’s president.

Henry and Jane Prantl retired in 2007 and John Felice took over. This past October, Joe Cugliari just took over and he’s originally from North Huntingdon.
