HARRISBURG, Pa. — President Donald Trump has approved Pennsylvania’s major disaster declaration because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Governor Tom Wolf sent the letter to President Trump requesting help and now that it’s been approved, it means help for thousands of Pennsylvanians.
The individual assistance means help with supplies, food, and shelter. This includes the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or D-SNAP, the supplemental nutrition program. Those eligible will get an EBT card to use to buy food.

Disaster unemployment assistance will be available for anyone not eligible for regular state unemployment insurance.
Community disaster loans will help local governments, schools, and county offices.
The assistance is on top of the President’s emergency declaration which helps state, county and local government nonprofits.
