PITTSBURGH — UPDATE 7:30 p.m.: Police said heavy rain appears to be dispersing the crowd and most people have returned to the starting point.
UPDATE 6:41 p.m.: The crowd has stopped again and all vehicle traffic in the area is blocked.
UPDATE 6:33 p.m.: The group is now moving down Negly toward Penn Avenue.
UPDATE 6:13 p.m.: The group has now turned onto S. Negley Avenue and is now blocking traffic at the intersection of Baum Blvd. and S. Negley.
UPDATE 5:57 p.m.: The group is on the move once again, this time along Centre Avenue inbound toward the city.
Public safety officials are telling drivers to avoid N. Euclid Avenue near Penn Avenue in East Liberty as a large crowd of protesters is blocking traffic in that area. It’s not clear why the crowd has gathered in that area.

Officials said the crowd gathered outside the former Zone 5 police station at N. Euclid Avenue and Broad Street. The crowd size is estimated at around 250 people.
Police appear to be in the area keeping an eye on the demonstrators.
