Family, friends gather to remember father killed in highway shooting

PITTSBURGH — It's only been a few days since Richard Littlejohn Jr. was involved in a car chase and shooting, but his family and friends pushing through the pain of loss and remembering his life.

Littlejohn was leaving a gender reveal party Sunday night with his two children in the car when the two suspects allegedly followed him.

While driving on Route 30, the suspects allegedly shot at Littlejohn's car, hitting him and causing him to crash into their car and another vehicle.

Wednesday night, family members and friends gathered in the Hill District where Littlejohn was a football coach, to pray and share their memories of him.

"He touched a lot of lives. If you met him you could see how radiant he was, what he stood for," said Philiip Berry, the victim's uncle.

Dozens of youth football players got together near the fields where they practiced with their coaches and families. As they said a prayer, they released balloons in Littlejohn's honor.

Littlejohn's 10-year-old son still had on his neckbrace from the crash that followed the deadly shooting.

He told Channel 11 that he loves and misses his dad.

Police are still looking for one of his alleged killers -- Erik Addision. They have already arrested Tyrone Freeman.

As Littlejohn's mother prepares to bury him, her focus is now shifted to justice.

"I really don't know how I'm going to go on without my son," said Maryann Sheahan, the victim's mother.
