PITTSBURGH — The Rivers Casino reopened Friday with new restrictions in place.
Channel 11 was there as people lined up outside the casino on the North Shore even before the doors opened to the public at 9 a.m.
With masks in hand and cash nearby, they were eager to get inside for the first time since it shut down.
The casino opened with new hours, and with several new rules and restrictions in place.
There will no smoking or use of tobacco products anywhere inside the casino. There will also be no indoor dining or drinking allowed. There is takeout available.

Masks must be worn at all times and there will be crews monitoring.
Temperature checks, sanitizing and social distancing practices will continue.
Casinogoers said they’re adjusting to these changes.
“I get it. They got to do what they got to do. It’s stressful. I’m a smoker. So I got to adjust to that and go outside. I’m not happy. But I got my mask and it is what it is. People are bored and want to get out,” said Mary Brown from the North Side.
Rivers also says they completed an indoor air quality upgrade that neutralizes coronavirus by 99.9%.
