Casino workers have been busy putting last-minute safety improvements on the floors, where social distancing and sanitizing will be mandatory.
Here are some of the changes people will notice:
- Table game seating will be limited at both casinos.
- Every other slot machine at Meadows Racetrack and Casino has been turned off.
- Every other chair at Rivers Casino has been removed.
- People will be required to sanitize their hands before touching any chips. Chips will be sanitized when they are turned in.
- Buffets at both casinos are currently not reopening.
- There will not be valet service.
- There will be no poker games.
“The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board put out requirements. Poker is a hard game for social distancing when it's such a social game to begin with,” Tony Frabbiele, Meadows general manager, said.
