Saint Vincent College campus closed for hours due to bomb threat investigation

LATROBE, Pa. — Saint Vincent College was closed for several hours Monday night after a bomb threat.

According to college officials, the threat involved the Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica. State police were contacted immediately and rushed to campus to start investigating the threat.

Officials said the Basilica, Parish Center, Aurelius Hall and Wimmer Hall on campus were evacuated as a precaution.

Shortly before 10 p.m., state police gave the all clear after finding there was not a credible threat.
