Missing 76-year-old woman in Ohiopyle State Park found alive

OHIOPYLE, Pa. — A 76-year-old woman, who had been missing since Sunday night, has been found safe, according to our partners at TribLIVE.

Crews had been searching the Ferncliff Trial in Ohiopyle State Park since just before 10 p.m.

She was with her daughter when they got separated, emergency dispatchers said.

She was found just after 9 a.m. near Cucumber Falls, according to TribLIVE. She was checked out by paramedics and was not taken to the hospital.

Rescuers said the woman slipped and fell down a hillside. She wasn’t able to climb back up the hill so she just stayed put.
