Second Hyperloop company eyeing Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — A second company is now eyeing Pittsburgh as a place to launch a Hyperloop.

Channel 11’s Rick Earle talked to the company and Pittsburgh’s Mayor Peduto about the possibility of the new technology, and will have the story on Channel 11 News at 6pm.

A Hyperloop is a new form of transportation still in its infancy, which would allow for ultra-high speed transportation between cities.

Hyperloop Transport Technologies came to Pittsburgh Tuesday to talk to the City in an effort to gain support for a Hyperloop that would connect Pittsburgh with Cleveland and Chicago.
