Secret Santa donates $10K to buy presents for students at local elementary school

LEECHBURG, Pa. — A secret Santa donated $10,000 so every student at David Leech Elementary School in Leechburg receives a present this holiday season.

With the anonymous donor’s gift, each student in grades pre-K through fifth will be able to purchase a $30 gift through Amazon Prime, according to a letter sent to parents.

Any remaining money will be placed in a fund designated to help students in need.

The letter said the secret Santa is a former ATI worker who retired in 2008 and worked at the Leechburg/Bagdad plants for 10 years.
