PITTSBURGH — Sen. Bernie Sanders will be in the Pittsburgh area Saturday to encourage people to vote early for Joe Biden in November’s presidential election.
Sanders will join an early voting and Get Out the Vote event in Pittsburgh in the morning with community members, campaign volunteers and members of the Service Employees International Union.
In the afternoon, Sanders will host a drive-in car rally with Lt. Gov. John Fetterman and state Reps. Sara Innamorato and Summer Lee.

The rally is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. at Rivers of Steel National Landmark on Carrie Furnace Boulevard in Rankin.
“During the events, Sanders will highlight the Biden-Harris Build Back Better plan and encourage community members to make a plan to vote early for Democrats down the ballot at iwillvote.com/PA,” a news release said.
