PITTSBURGH — Several black bear sightings have been reported on Mount Washington and nearby city neighborhoods early Wednesday morning..
“It was very wild!” said Dennis Boehm.
Boehm had been watching Channel 11 Morning News on Wednesday, when we reported that police were responding to reported sightings across the city.
He looked outside, and instantly spotted a bear roaming on Sweetbriar Street.
Pittsburgh Police also reported spotting a black bear on Wyoming Street on Mount Washington and on Groveland Street in Overbrook.
Another Channel 11 viewer sent us video of a black bear on Saint Joseph Way on the South Side Slopes, taken around 3 am on Wednesday.
Animal Care and Control contacted the Pennsylvania Game Commission. If you spot a bear, you are asked to call 911. People should also keep a distance and not feed the bear.

Someone also sent us video of a bear captured on their Ring doorbell camera in the Southside Slopes.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission has been contacted, Pittsburgh police said.
Anyone who comes across a bear should leave it alone, should not feed it, and call 911.
