Several families are displaced after a building fire started inside a two-story building in downtown Butler.

The two-story building on West Jefferson Street houses apartments and the China Place restaurant.

Jennifer Barney, who lives in the building, said she wanted to make sure everyone made it out safely.

"I just took off down the hallway and started banding on everybody's doors screaming as loud as I could for them to get out," Barney said.
