Slippery Rock University mourns death of student

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Students at Slippery Rock University are dealing with the death of a classmate.

University officials said Seth Weismantle, a freshman from Conway, Beaver County, died suddenly Monday.

The university sent an email to students saying:

"Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his parents, family and friends as they deal with this tragic loss and to those on campus who were fortunate to have known Seth. The University has reached out to Seth's family to offer our support during this difficult time."

The university said the Student Counseling Center is available for students.

Details of Weismantle's death haven't been released.
