Some local schools temporarily moving to remote learning due to COVID-19

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — Some local schools announced they are temporarily moving to remote learning after new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Seneca Valley High School, which is grades 11-12, said it will move to remote learning with all classes livestreamed, starting from Monday until Friday.

North Allegheny School District also announced another person connected to North Allegheny Senior High School tested positive for COVID-19.

NASH will move to full remote learning on Monday and Tuesday, according to the district. On Monday, the school will also operate on a two-hour delayed schedule to allow the district to prepare for this change. There is no school on Thursday and Friday due to already scheduled in-service days.

All other buildings in the North Allegheny School District will remain open for in-person instruction.

Norwin High School will also be closed Monday.

District officials said three students and one staff member tested positive on Friday.
