NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Two people were taken into custody late Sunday night after a police chase that extended from Allegheny County into Washington County.
Emergency dispatchers said the pursuit was reported shortly before 11 p.m. on Lincoln Boulevard in Lincoln Borough. It continued to North Strabane Township, where it ended on Morganza Road at Curry Avenue.
Police said an officer tried to initiate a traffic stop for suspended registration, but the car kept driving. It briefly stopped near a BP gas station in Elizabeth, but again took off before the officer could get to the car.

From Elizabeth, the pursuit went from Route 51 to Route 43 before reaching Morganza Road, where police used stop sticks on the car.
The Lincoln police chief said the incident was a controlled pursuit. Officers’ speeds reached between 60 and 70 mph.
Police took two people, a man and a woman, into custody.
The woman had drug paraphernalia in her possession, police said. The man had a suspended license and a probation violation.
No one was injured during the pursuit.
