PITTSBURGH — A potential suspicious package investigation prompted police to block off streets in Pittsburgh’s Brighton Heights neighborhood Tuesday morning.
Police were called just before 6:30 a.m. to Brighton Road after someone heard beeping coming from a United States Postal Service mailbox. It was later determined that the sound was coming from a postal device.

Brighton Road was shut down in the areas of Benton Avenue and Termon Avenue until police gave the all-clear.

The investigation began when a passerby heard beeping coming from a USPS collection box. Turns out it was just a postal device @wpxi
At one point during the investigation, Channel 11′s Liz Kilmer reported seeing someone in an apparent bomb suit.
Several police vehicles were in the area during the course of the investigation.
