The FBI called for a SWAT team’s assistance Thursday at an apartment in Bethel Park.
Bethel Park police told Channel 11 they got involved at 6 a.m. when a federal task force asked for their help.
Officers from Mt. Lebanon and Castle Shannon joined them and then SWAT was called to surround an apartment complex on Abbeyville Road.

Authorities told Channel 11 federal officers had an apartment under surveillance and a warrant they were ready to serve.
Once SWAT arrived, they swarmed in.
“We were able to make entry into the apartments,” said Lt. Blake Babin from the Bethel Park Police Department. “Everything went according to plan, almost like a training exercise. Everything went very well."
By mid-morning, police began clearing the scene.
Channel 11 has calls in to the FBI to see what they were after inside the apartment and whether they have a suspect in custody.
