Because of the standoff, an entire block of homes on Lace Bark Court had to be evacuated.
Channel 11 learned the suspect is going to be charged with aggravated assault and terroristic threats, but first he's being committed for a mental evaluation. And for that reason, we are not releasing his name.

Channel 11 was the only one at Northern Regional Police as officers brought in the standoff suspect for questioning.
Officers tell Channel 11 the 33-year-old brandished a handgun for hours, barricaded inside and on the roof of his parents' home on Lace Bark Court in Pine Township. It started Sunday night when police say a fight with his mom escalated. Monday morning, police evacuated everyone living near the area.

“I guess they decided they didn't know how long it was going to go so they just let us, evacuate us, make sure we were safe,” said resident Jeff Anderson.
At 6 a.m. Monday, the barricaded man came out on the roof and sat there with a gun for 7 1/2 hours.
“Most the time he was talking and asking for negotiators and was very polite with us,” said Bob Amann, chief of Northern Regional Police.
More than 15 hours after the incident started, he did get down off that roof with the help of police, and no one was injured.
