TARENTUM, Pa. — Both directions of the Tarentum Bridge are back open ahead of schedule, according to PennDOT.
Agency officials said in a news release, the westbound lanes reopened Sunday around 12:30 p.m., good news for drivers ahead of the Monday morning commute.
Crews performed expansion dam replacements and installed a concrete overlay on the bridge ramps.
Work will continue off and on over the next few months. PennDOT expects the project be completely wrapped up by the fall.
