FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The TGI Fridays restaurant at the Pittsburgh International Airport is closing.
A spokeswoman for Airmall Pittsburgh said the restaurant's lease ends in December.
"Like every space we lease, we assess the needs of the airport and look at passenger data and consumer and market trends in an effort to continually optimize and elevate the retail program," Tina Richardson said.

Richardson said the Airmall is focused on bringing in more local brands for passengers coming through the airport.
The affected employees will be offered other jobs at the airport.
"TGI Fridays has been a longstanding, wonderful part of the airport," Richardson said. "But a lot of change is happening at the airport, and there is a heavy focus on local businesses, people from our own backyard vs. national brands. This is a national trend."
There is no decision yet on what will replace it.
