Every Friday and Saturday in October, the Beaver County Humane Society will host its unique, outdoor haunted trail.

The event runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

National Aviary - North Side

There are three different events to celebrate Owl-O-Ween.

• Owl-O-Ween: Saturday and Sunday, October 16, 17, 23, and 24 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Owl Prowls: October 16, October 24, and November 12 at Frick Park; October 17 and November 6 at Wingfield Pines; October 23, November 7, and November 13 at Settlers Cabin from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Owl Encounter: Offered daily at 3 p.m. except for Tuesdays

Phantom Fall Fest - Kennywood

The West Mifflin amusement park is debuting its all-new Halloween event that’s geared towards families and includes festive food, as well as special autumn decorations.

Phantom Fall Fest operates every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 1 – 31. The park will be open from 6 – 11 p.m. on Fridays, 12 – 11 p.m. on Saturdays and 12 – 10 p.m. on Sundays.

Phipps Conservatory - Oakland

Starting Sat. Oct 9, Fall Flower Show: Happy Troll-O-Ween! will feature spooky displays of mischievous trolls, as well as a stunning array of chrysanthemums in a vibrant kaleidoscope of fall colors.

The show runs from Oct. 9 – 31. Hours are 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and 9:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Fridays.

ScareHouse - Tarentum

If you’re looking for a spooky way to celebrate the season, this haunted house is celebrating its 20th season.

You can now find it within the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, where it will be open through November.

Trax Farms - Finleyville

Hayrides and picking your own pumpkins are just some of the activities you can enjoy at this fall festival.

It runs every weekend, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Oct. 24.

Zombies of the Corn - Freedom

A safe, fun and fright-filled fall night awaits you at this family-operated event.

It’s open weekend nights through October, starting at 6:30 p.m.

ZooBoo - Highland Park

This annual event at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Paints Aquarium is kid-friendly.

It runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 16, 17, 23, 24.
