PLUM BOROUGH, Pa. — The Plum Borough School District was closed Monday after a potential threat but is going to reopen on Tuesday.

The “non-specific potential threat” at Plum Senior High School was brought to the district’s attention through a Safe2Say Something tip, according to a message on the district’s website.

Plum Borough police were immediately notified, and after an investigation they believe they have identified the juvenile suspects.

Police have issued a search warrant to the social media platform they believe was used to post the alleged threat. An attorney has declined for the suspects or family members to be interviewed by police.

The suspects have been banned from any school property, including school-related activities and school-provided transportation.

“Through discussions with the district, it was mutually determined that normal operating procedures for the district can resume. However, there will be an added police presence throughout the district to further ensure the safety of the students, district employees and community in general," a release from the Plum Borough Police Department said.
