Two months later, murder of Perry South mother remains unsolved

PITTSBURGH — It's been two months since a mother was murdered while holding her baby in Plattsburgh's Perry South neighborhood.  The case remains unsolved.

Nicki Dailey, 26, was shot and killed while holding her 7-month-old baby in a grassy area not far from the intersection of Strauss and North Charles streets.  She lived nearby.

Neighbors said they are hoping surveillance cameras on several buildings where the shooting occurred will help investigators locate and arrest the person who killed Dailey.

Pittsburgh police have not yet made an arrest.

WPXI’s Courtney Brennan is checking in with police about the murder investigation and what they are asking from the public, coming up on Channel 11 News beginning at 5 p.m.
