PITTSBURGH — Another weekend is bringing a number of demonstrations and protests around the Pittsburgh region.

Squirrel Hill
Hundreds of people marched through Squirrel Hill for what organizers called “Civil Saturday.”
They were spotted headed down Forbes Avenue toward Oakland around 3:30 p.m.
The crowd later stopped on Forbes Avenue at South Bouquet Street as they sat in the intersection for a moment of silence to honor George Floyd.

Around 6 p.m., the protesters headed back on Forbes Avenue back toward where they started. The protest was peaceful with no incidents or arrests.

Market Square
A crowd of about 100 protesters marched from Market Square to the Allegheny County Jail and down to Liberty Avenue Saturday evening.
Pittsburgh police said the protesters stopped in front of the jail for about 30 minutes before heading back downtown toward the Boulevard of the Allies. They stopped at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Seventh Street shortly after.
Police said the protest was entirely peaceful and there were no incidents.

A rally to support the Black Lives Matter movement was also held on Flagstaff Hill in Oakland Saturday.
