West Virginia is lifting restrictions and opening businesses at full capacity

WEST VIRGINIA — Starting Saturday, bars and restaurants in West Virginia will be allowed to open at full capacity.

Gyms, fitness centers and museums are also fully reopening, and restrictions are being lifted for small businesses and retail stores.

Gov. Jim Justice said social distancing and mask mandates are still in order. The state’s gathering capacity limit will shift to 100, up from 75.

Restrictions on youth sports have also been lifted in West Virginia, except in counties reporting a high number of Covid-19 cases.

In Pennsylvania, Gov. Tom Wolf said indoor events can begin operating at 15 percent and outdoor events at 20 percent capacity, regardless of venue size.

The mandate to quarantine if you travel out-of-state was also dropped by Wolf.
