DORMONT, Pa. — Leaders in Dormont are hearing from companies about the possibility of managing the popular Dormont Pool.
USA Pools and American Pools both presented their plans Monday night to help the Dormont Pool throughout the summer season.
That includes providing staffing and ways to use the pool to make money for the borough.
“For the past few years, once schools begin in the session, its becoming almost impossible to get lifeguards who are in high school to come in after school,” said Brian Bell of American Pools.
Staffing was a major issue for several pools across Allegheny County this past summer.
Dormont leaders hope new management will provide stability moving forward.
