ALLEGHENY CO., Pa. — Every time it snows in the Pittsburgh area, people want their neighborhoods and nearby streets cleared -- especially when there are multiple inches on the ground and frigid temperatures.
But when your roads haven’t been touched by snow plows, how do you know who to call?
If you live in Allegheny County, there’s a map for that.
Allegheny County created an interactive map called “Who Plows My Road” that tells you who is responsible for plowing and salting any specific road in the area.
It breaks it down between four categories: state, county, municipal and private.
The only streets that aren’t a public entity’s responsibility are those listed as “private” on the map.
CLICK HERE for the map, which also has options to see who owns each road and park.
Who Plows My Road is an interactive map where users can type in a street, address, or destination to find out who is responsible for plowing/salting a road. The map also provides a number to call for assistance. Visit https://t.co/kJ7ZHKkX5c (2/2)
