PITTSBURGH — A woman has been charged with setting fire to an apartment building in Pittsburgh’s Greenfield neighborhood in December.

Channel 11 initially reported that Victoria Parker jumped from the second floor of the building on Murray Avenue on Dec. 16 to escape the flames, but she’s now accused of intentionally starting it.

According to police, Parker admitted to tearing pages from books, pouring lighter fluid on them and lighting the paper on fire.

Sisters PGH, a nonprofit that provides resources to the transgender community in Pittsburgh, was affected by this blaze. Their office was on the first floor, and between the fire, smoke and water damage, they lost almost everything.

A conference table and a desk were the only things they were able to save, and the organization was forced to relocate to Swissvale.

When Parker jumped from the second story that day, she landed on a truck below but was not seriously hurt.

She is being charged with two counts of arson.
