McKEESPORT, Pa. — A woman who was sitting on her home’s porch was shot several times by a masked man late Sunday night in McKeesport , police said.
The shooting was reported just after 10:30 p.m. on Evans Avenue.
Investigators said the shooter walked toward the home and fired onto the porch, where the 41-year-old woman was sitting with other people. A man who was at the home fired back at the shooter, who took off toward Beacon Avenue.

The woman was shot in the back, arm and leg, police said. She was taken to a hospital, where she was listed to be in critical condition.

Sunday night’s shooting was the third in McKeesport in the last week. The previous two were deadly. One of them happened across from a bar on Fifth Avenue after a fight and the other happened outside an apartment building in the Crawford Village housing complex.
