NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — A New Kensington woman who rushed to the aid of a fallen officer Friday night is sharing her story.
"I was sitting on my living room couch watching TV when I heard six or seven pops, gunshots, and one hit our house," Nicole Drum said.
Without a second thought, she rushed out her front door, reaching New Kensington Police Officer Brian Shaw moments after he was gunned down.
"He was laying down on his back right around here. He wasn't moving at all," she said.

Moments before, Shaw had made a traffic stop on Leishman Avenue.
There was a brief foot chase and Shaw was shot.
"I stood there and I was trying to talk to him," Drum said. "I didn't want to freak out cause I was touching him just in case if he was responsive. But he wasn't saying anything."
An intensive search for the killer continued more than 24 hours later.

Police found a Jeep Cherokee wanted in connection with the shooting, but they still haven't said exactly who was inside or told Channel 11 more about it.
"We will find you, we will arrest you and we will prosecute you so you will be held accountable for what has occurred," said Chief James Klein with New Kensington police.
A bullet struck Drum's house, where she lives with her 2-year-old daughter.
Police took surveillance video from her home and are reviewing it.
