CENTERVILLE, Pa. — Two people are accused of having nearly a thousand empty heroin stamp bags near their 4-year-old daughter.

An anonymous tip to Children's Youth Services said the little girl came into contact with heroin.

Police and CYS workers showed up at the Washington County home and took both parents into custody after what they discovered inside.

In the basement, police found a suspected marijuana grow room, complete with a ventilation system, lighting and chemicals.

They found drawers of empty stamp bags, needles and other drug paraphernalia, along with a garbage bag full of nearly a thousand empty stamp bags.

Officers arrested Aaron Leeper and Tabitha Nalbone on child endangerment and drug charges.

The two appeared in court Monday.

"They said it belonged to someone else, an individual who moved out in October of last year  but there was signs that individuals were downstairs recently, lights on, water in the sink," Cramer said.

Investigators said the little girl is now living with a family member.
