TULSA, Okla. — The city of Tulsa accidentally relocated a couple of north Tulsa businesses and homes when it replaced a street sign recently.
A relatively new street sign on the corner of North Lewis Place and East Admiral Place now reads "Admrial" because of a typo on the new sign.
Those who live and work in the area are asking if city crews noticed they put up a misspelled sign. If they did, residents wonder if they were forced to put it up anyway.
Neighbors think it's humorous and say the street sign should be left up with the typo as a symbol of government waste.
They estimate the street sign costs between $50 and $200.
The city of Tulsa has not responded to our request for comment.
