More than 5 million Contigo kids' water bottles have been recalled because of a choking hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The bottle's clear silicone spout can come off and become a choking hazard to children.
TRENDING NOW:
The recall involves the Contigo Kids Cleanable water bottles. They have a black base and cover over the clear spout and come in three sizes -- 13-ounce, 14-ounce and 20-ounce. Only bottles with the black base and cover are affected. The bottles themselves were either solid colored plastic, graphic covered plastic, stainless steel or colored stainless steel. They all have Contigo printed on the rim and on the font of the bottle near the bottom, according to the CPSC.
They were sold individually and in two and three packs.
Parents are being told to take the bottles from their children immediately and stop using them and contact the company for inspection instructions and a free replacement lid.
