A turtle and a car collided on a Florida highway Monday, but it didn’t end as badly as one might think.
Florida Highway Patrol said that the turtle was thrown from a car, struck another car and crashed through the windshield of that car.
The driver, Nicole Marie Bjanes, and the turtle were not injured. The car's windshield was shattered and had a large hole in it. Bjanes took photos at the scene and posted them on Facebook.
Troopers said they placed the turtle on the grass and it walked into a nearby pond and swam away.
