KABUL, Afghanistan — Two American service members were killed and two others were injured when a vehicle hit a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan, U.S. military officials said Saturday.
According to a statement from the U.S.-led coalition in Kabul, the service members were part of NATO’s Resolute Support mission conducting operations in the southern province of Kandahar, CNN reported.
NATO and Afghan officials confirmed the attack, according to The Associated Press.

U.S. military officials did not identify the service members, according to The Associated Press. Taliban officials took responsibility for the attack, according to the AP.
