Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol responded to a car crash in Chattooga County at around 12:30 a.m. EDT, WTVC reported.

The driver and two occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, according to WRCB-TV. Two other passengers in the vehicle were taken to Atrium Floyd Medical Center in Rome, the television station reported.

A male juvenile was pronounced dead and a female passenger is in critical condition, WRCB reported.

According to state troopers, a 2019 Audi RS5 was traveling west on Georgia Highway 114 when it entered a curve and left the roadway, WTVC reported. The vehicle went onto a grass shoulder and struck a private driveway. The Audi then rolled and came to a stop upright after overturning.

While the names of the victims have not been released, the Chattooga High School football team posted photographs of three players to its Facebook page on Sunday.

“Heartbroken is the only word that comes to mind as we have lost 3 of our own,” the Facebook post read. “Please pray for the families and friends.”
