KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A partially naked woman is accused of wielding an ax at a Walmart in eastern Tennessee, authorities said.
Nashea Jannatta Brown, 35, was arrested Tuesday and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and vandalism up to $1,000, according to Knox County Sheriff’s Office online booking records. Brown also has an outstanding violation of parole out of Knox County for vandalism, records show.
According to the Knoxville Police Department, Brown was observed vandalizing property at the Knoxville Walmart, throwing items at employees and defecating on herself, WVLT reported.
When police arrived, they saw Brown in the sporting goods section of the store with an ax she had taken out of its packaging, WATE reported. Brown also had a knife tucked into her bra, the television station reported.
Officers told Brown to drop the ax, but she refused, WVLT reported. After two attempts of using a stun gun, police were able to apprehend Brown, the television station reported.
