Betty White’s assistant has given fans of “The Golden Girls” a look into the icon’s final days.
Kiersten Mikelas shared a photo of White on Facebook Monday, on what would have been White’s 100th birthday. The photo was taken on Dec. 20, CNN reported. Mikelas said she believed it was one of the last photos taken of White.

White died on Dec. 31 at the age of 99 after a stroke on Dec. 25, The Associated Press reported.
The “Today” show reported that the photo was taken as White prepared to record videos for her fans for her 100th birthday.
“She wanted people to see that she was alive and happy and really wanted an opportunity to thank people for supporting her throughout her life and career. It was a truly special day. There was lots of laughing and excitement and talk about what kind of animals I was going to round up for her birthday,” Mikelas told “Today” via text message.
