Big news for Beyoncé fans: the superstar formally announced she will be going on tour.
In a post on Instagram, the singer shared a photo of herself on the back of a silver horse and said simply, “RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR 2023.”
The tour is scheduled to begin in Europe in May before coming to North America on July 8 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, Rolling Stone reported. The tour will also make stops in Philadelphia, Nashville, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Pittsburgh.
The full tour schedule was posted on Beyoncé's website.
Beyoncé released “Renaissance,” her seventh album, in July. Her last tour was “On the Run II” in 2018, which featured her husband, rapper Jay-Z, CNN reported.
Wednesday’s tour announcement sparked speculation that Beyoncé may perform at the Grammys on Feb. 5. According to Variety, sources said that Jay-Z plans to perform with DJ Khaled on the show. Beyoncé is nominated for nine awards.
Beyoncé performed her first headlining concert in four years in Dubai at the grand reveal of a new luxury hotel, Rolling Stone reported. While the invite-only audience was asked not to record the performance, clips of the show were uploaded to social media within hours. That performance did not feature any music from “Renaissance.”
