Bob Saget laid to rest in private funeral

LOS ANGELES — Friends and family gathered in Los Angeles on Friday for a private funeral to lay comedian and actor Bob Saget to rest, according to multiple reports.

The event was closed to the public, The Los Angeles Times reported. Citing an unidentified source close to Saget’s family, CNN reported that the ceremony was scheduled to take place at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery with plans for a larger memorial to come.

Earlier, Saget’s friend and “Full House” co-star John Stamos said Friday would be “the hardest day of my life.”

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference,” he wrote in a post on Twitter.

Authorities found Saget, beloved for his role as Danny Tanner on “Full House,” and known for hosting “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and for his stand-up comedy, dead Sunday at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida. He was 65.

His cause of death remained unclear Friday, although officials said they found no signs of foul play, trauma or drug use, according to WFTV.

The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the cause and manner of Saget’s death.
