People who get the COVID-19 vaccination will not need to quarantine after being exposed to someone who has the virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
According to new guidance from the CDC that was issued Wednesday, the center said, “Fully vaccinated persons who meet criteria will no longer be required to quarantine following an exposure to someone with COVID-19. Additional considerations for patients and residents in healthcare settings are provided.”
Reuters reported that the criteria people have to meet to not be required to quarantine include not only being fully vaccinated, but the exposure also having happened within three months of their getting the last vaccine dose, and that they are asymptomatic post-exposure.
